Mentoring
An opportunity at work became available, and I decided to get out of my comfort zone and help mentor high school students. It was an eye opening experience to be at the high school and meet the students. I hope our presence and availability positively impacted even just one student and know they can follow their dreams.
I joined the SAP Next Talent program and was a mentor for 2 early talent employees. I didn’t know what to expect and was impressed with the mentee’s engagement and how valuable the experience was. It was a two-way-street— I learned from them, as they learned from me. We became colleagues and friends, and with open communication was able to share knowledge, expertise, and experiences to navigate their career. I greatly enjoyed this program, and encouraged others to participate and help the next generation of talent.
